Carrot cake latte 🥕
If you know me, you know I LOVE my homemade lattes, and I’ll take any excuse to try new syrups and flavors to put a twist on my usual go-to. For spring, I wanted something a little different, and after seeing the carrot cake latte all over TikTok, I knew I had to create my own version. And let me tell you… it’s SO good.
It’s cozy, slightly spiced, and has that subtle sweetness that makes it feel like a treat without being too heavy. Honestly, it might be my new favorite spring drink. Feel free to let me know if you like it too!
Carrot cake syrup 🥕
Ingredients
1/2 cup carrot juice
1/2 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup hazelnut meal (optional but it gives a nice nutty flavor)
1 tsp cinnamon
A dash of ginger and nutmeg
Directions
Simmer everything for 10–15 minutes on medium heat (VERY important: do not simmer for less time, or your syrup will have a raw carrot taste).
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and store in the fridge for about a week.
Cream cheese cold foam 🍦
Ingredients
1 heaping tbsp cream cheese
4 tbsp milk (I used soy)
1 tbsp maple syrup
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a tall glass, and mix everything with a handheld milk frother
Put your ice, milk of choix, and espresso in your drinking glass. Top it with the cream cheese cold foam on top, and enjoy!
